Responsibilities:• Invent and apply several Machine Learning algorithms, such as Clustering, Collaborative Filtering, Character Matrix Formation and Non-negative Matrix Factorization, to provide personalized mobile ad recommendations to over 100 million users of Youmi using Hadoop/R;• Implement recommendation system into ESB to provide reliable service to users.Achievements:• Created and maintained Hadoop environment and performed system administration tasks while closely monitoring the system performance and optimization;• Extensively worked on Cloudera framework - Pig, Hive, Shell, Impala, Oozie, Hbase, Sqoop;• Developed and optimized MapReduce code for distributed matrix computing;• Contributed a python web crawler for the use of categorization of Youmi’s mobile apps repositories;• The designed algorithm increased both precision / recall rate to over 80% and bring along approximately 10% percent increase in the net profit at no additional cost.

Responsibilities:• Create and maintain Hadoop environment to support storage and process of a huge volume of corpus along with tetra-amount of students’ learning data;• Define, design and build systems for intelligent data processing –- define data warehouse, design machine learning algorithms and build statistical models.Achievements:• By using NLP techniques, I built up one 300,000 English language corpus and constructed One Sentence a Day , Rainbow Vocabulary etc;• Offered 68 high schools with professional consulting services with underlying themes being machine learning and statistical analysis.
