• Built a fashion recommender system deployed through Flask using a combination of NLP (word2vec) and computer vision (keras) to suggest clothes most similar to a user’s input or preference of fashion blogger, with images and product descriptions web-scraped from major retailers such as Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s• Applied tree-based machine learning techniques (e.g., gradient boosting, random forest) with grid search using scikit-learn to predict housing prices, using dataset of 1500 rows and 90 columns; and used feature engineering such as one-hot and ordinal encoding to transform categorical variables for linear modeling, including lasso and elastic net• Webscraped online grey market’s Rolex products and prices using Scrapy to analyze how online discounts impact Rolex’s positioning as a luxury brand, conducted statistical testing using StatsModels, and presented with Matplotlib graphs• Developed a Shiny app with features such as word cloud and histograms using Kickstarter dataset with 200,000 observations from 2010-2018 to explore strategic ways to help Kickstarter generate higher revenue

An eight weeks research project writing a student commentary on Cicero's Second Philippic with Professor Anne Leen, using references from Oxford Latin Dictionary, John T. Ramsey, J.D. Denniston, and W.K. Lacey. Since the commentary aims for intermediate Latin students in college, who have more interests and capability in understanding history than high school students, thus it focuses more on historical backgrounds and on explaining the significances of such speech during the Late Republic.
