I owe part of my journalism training to Venezuelan journalist Ignacio Serrano. I started writing about baseball on his blog El Emergente (www.elemergente.com) when I was only 15 years old, after a brief experience at the sports portal Tras La Jugada (2013 to 2014), where I also published original news reports, interviews, and sports analyses.For four years, I carried out the following tasks at El Emergente:- Wrote news articles about Venezuelan Winter League (LVBP) and Major League Baseball (MLB).- Translated content and interviews from English into Spanish.- Conducted interviews with various LVBP figures and Venezuelan players in MLB, including foreign players Hassan Pena, Sergio Pérez, Matt Hoffman, Mark Serrano, Caleb Joseph, Ryan Kussmaul, Buddy Boshers, Lane Adams, Shunsuke Watanabe, Brent Suter, Josh Whitesell, Tyler Cravy, Eric Marzec and Dakota Watts. In many cases, I confirmed and reported the signings of some of these players before their respective winter league teams did.
