For almost 18 years I managed Stuff 'n Storage Inc., in Manteca, California, a 259 unit Self Storage business. My responsibilities included the following:The use of computer applications for invoicing, receiving payments, communication with customers and managing their access. I created Daily, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Reports of income, rental trends, sales tax and the occasional Incident Report. I prepared Pre-Liens and Liens, Legal Advertising and the scheduling of Public Auctions on the property of past due accounts as per the current California Business & Professions Code. This required accurate and confidential record keeping of customer files. The 1.77 acre property had seven buildings, 259 units, an office and apartment. I coordinated the cleaning and maintenance as well as the semi-annual automated gate maintenance, the annual fire extinguisher certifications, weekly garden service and waste management pick-ups. This job demanded a wide set of skills and the flexibility to negotiate with business professionals in the morning and clean up a yard-waste clogged street drain later the same day. I enjoyed helping commercial & personal customers find a safe and secure solution to their storage needs.2018 Update:In an ongoing effort to expand my skills I am taking online courses to become certified in Microsoft Excel, Office & Outlook applications as well as a Comp TIA APlus certification.
