An English major who went from writing travel brochures for a deluxe escorted tour company to the canyons of Wall Street to produce mutual fund reports to a unique institution once known as The Museum of Television & Radio, now The Paley Center for Media. There I had the immense fortune of meeting legendary CBS creative director Lou Dorfsman, who mentored me on the joys and rigors of creative thinking. Anything can be anything—"How long is a piece of string?" was his favorite retort when clients demanded to know what something cost in a concept meeting.
