Target usages of these products include:-Data center interconnects.-Metropolitan Open Line Systems.-Long Haul WDM Systems.My current role includes: -Design of HW schematics and specifications, trading off between Time-of-Execution, Cost and Market request.-Choice of the constitutive elements for the solution, through the preparation of RFIs, RFQs, RFPs to potential Suppliers (and critical analysis of their responses). -Step-by-step development of the solution, from the fabrication of early prototypes to the pilot line. -Acting as a point of contact for all the surrounding teams (for example, Mechanical, Software, Firmware), to harmonize schedule and milestones. -Revision of testing activities (Optical & Electrical).-Post-sale troubleshooting. Testing of Active Photonic Circuits at the Wafer Level. My main activities include: -design of custom PCBs to drive testing signals (and enhance the testing throughput), -controllers coding (mainly NI-PXI with LabView or C), -integration with the alignment/positioning machine,-testing validation and report preparation.
