After graduating high school at Dowling Catholic in Des Moines, Iowa, I decided I wanted to see what life was like outside of Iowa. This was a big step as I was leaving most of my family back in Iowa and taking off on my own at 18.I was accepted and started at the University of Houston in fall 2001. Upon graduation with a BA in Corporate and Organizational Communication with a minor in Psychology, I moved back to Iowa to work for Bankers Trust Company as a Commercial Portfolio Manager (Credit Analyst). After 4.5 great years back home in Iowa, I knew I missed Houston and my friends here.I moved back to Houston in January 2012 and resumed my banking career at Heritage Bank in Pearland, Texas as a Credit Analyst. My stay at Heritage was short, but rewarding. I got to understand the Houston market better and met some great people. In August 2012, Icon Bank of Texas called looking for an AVP credit analyst at the Cinco Ranch location. After much thought and deliberation, I took the Icon Bank of Texas position.In January 2014 I was promoted to VP Lender and moved to our Corporate office in NW Houston where I was able to work with the Chairman and President directly. In January 2015, this valuable experience led to moving to our Sam Houston branch directly across the parking lot lot where had great experiences through May 2017.In June 2017, I began another chapter in my career as an associate at LMI Capital putting my CRE and capital advisory skills to work. My true love and specialization is real estate. Since my time at Bankers Trust Company in Iowa I have had a passion for real estate lending and underwriting.
