I worked as a Travel Consultant here and got in touch with the Indian Travel Market after a decade. The company was part of one of the major business conglomerate ITC and with their state of art office based in Parel, South Mumbai I felt the touch of the spacious and luxury travel outlets of the Gulf region. My main job here was to handle their implant based at the Asian Paints at Vakola, Santacruz. My role here was to handle the services at 3 of the major GSA's counter viz Saudi Arabian Airlines, Royal Brunei and Cathay Pacific.My job includes the following.a) Reservations and Ticketing.b) Holidays/Leisure (Retail).c) Hajj and Umrah Pilgrimage tours. d) Cruise holidays.e) Hotels and Car rentals.Later during the tenure I was moved to handle Holidays department and I grasped this opportunity to explore the new avenue. I was promoting the Leisure products of few major airlines like Cathay Pacific, Thai Airways, Air India, British Airways, Malaysia Airlines and Emirates. I got well versed with these airlines holiday products and was lucky to enjoy the familiarization trips sponsored by them.
