They is proficient in Alemán A2 and Inglés C1. Colleagues describe them as "During Mar Comín's last years as a Bachelor student in Business Administration, at the Universitat Politècnica de València, I had the chance to work with her in several occasions. I taught her a course on Teamwork, I was her professor in the Marketing Management subject when she was a junior student, and I was her academic supervisor during her student internship. Finally, I was very fortunate to be her Bachelor dissertation advisor.
From this academic experience, I would first like to highlight Mar's proactivity and lively joy. It is easy for her to get involved in projects with other people, due mainly to two factors: her talent for social relationships, and her working capacity. She has a very apparent entrepreneur spirit, not only for her courage to undertake ambitious challenges, but also for her creativity on proposing solutions.
I have been able to know these traits thanks to her internship supervisor, but also I have witnessed them while advising her Bachelor dissertation. She knew that, whatever job or position she had in the future, she would have to work with people; in consequence, she thought that her Bachelor dissertation would provide her a very good opportunity to delve into the dynamism and the drawbacks of team building.
I honestly think Mar chose the hardest approach to carry out her dissertation: a qualitative research based on semi-structured interviews. There was no doubt that this methodology would provide her with very good first-hand experiences on how teams are built. She would have the chance to speak to some team leaders directly, and this would be an extraordinary complement to her research readings. But there was also no doubt that this plan would mean an increased workload for her, as this methodology is specific of PhD studies in Spain. However, her excitement on knowing more on this topic was much stronger than this evident difficulty.
During the intense working on her dissertation, it has been very apparent how Mar has progressed on assimilating concepts, as well as the way she has developed a researcher mindset. I would like to highlight her remarkable capacity to synthesize ideas and connecting the dots from different perspectives. This has been manifest in her writing skills improvement. It is also worthwhile mentioning that she had to train to moderate her impulsiveness in order to become a better interviewer.
In my estimation, she did an excellent job in her Bachelor dissertation. The final text articulates ideas, data and discussion in a very mature way for an undergraduate student. This reveals a very promising future for her as a strategic consultant.
My impression is that Mar has acquired a very good foundation for continuous learning and for working with people in her bachelor’s degree. I hope that her professional experience will make her develop these two features even more. In any case, I am convinced that Mar will give her best wherever she works.
