I began my professional journey as a medical receptionist at Integrated Health Centers of West Virginia (IHCWV) in June 2021, amidst the challenges posed by the pandemic. Despite lacking prior experience in the healthcare field, I was eager to contribute in any way possible. This experience ignited within me a profound sense of purpose to support my community and a deep admiration for the dedicated healthcare professionals on the front lines.Although I found fulfillment in my role as a receptionist, I recognized an opportunity to utilize my graphic design expertise and offered my creative services. Shortly thereafter, I transitioned into the role of marketing assistant/graphic designer. Following this, I was entrusted with the responsibilities of the marketing & communications director when my supervisor stepped down.Over the past 3 years, I have actively championed the mission of community health centers, worked towards empowering and enhancing local communities, and advocated for improving children's education and investing in their futures.My current duties and responsibilities encompass a wide array of tasks, including managing the annual marketing budget, creating and procuring promotional materials, generating content for various platforms such as emails and blogs, and designing diverse graphical assets like business cards, flyers, and signage. Additionally, I handle photography, oversee marketing campaigns across different channels, and manage advertisements across digital, print, radio, and broadcast mediums. I also take charge of organizing events, serving as an administrator of all social media accounts, editing IHCWV's website, and creating forms using Jotform.Some of the key highlights of my career include being named a Regional Advocate in the West Virginia Primary Care Association's grassroots advocacy group—The One Network, actively supporting local school initiatives and events, leading the rebranding efforts of IHCWV, collaborating with community members and other organizations to offer resources and host events, spearheading the 'Voluntary Incentive Program' (VIP) to recognize and reward IHCWV employees for their volunteer service hours, and producing impactful videos, including a commercial that received extensive broadcast for over three months. Furthermore, I have worked alongside the National Association of Community Health Centers in advocacy, community organizing, and empowerment while consistently advocating for the health and well-being of our communities.
