Hi, my name’s Mara! I am currently a fourth year student at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design pursuing a BFA in Communication Design with a photography focused minor. I am passionate about building community with design and creating real visual solutions. I have a special interest in identity and publication design and love visual storytelling. I think design can serve a purpose and still be beautiful and artistic. I am passionate about accessibilty within design and how that manifests in my own practice. Language, environment, and empathy are all key considerations when I am designing. I am always striving to be better and trying to build my skills by learning and listening to others around me.
