Conducting undergraduate research for honors thesis titled“Serological Evaluation of SARS-CoV-2 in New England White Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus)”. Through this process I will be collecting blood samples and nasal swabs from various wild and captive sources. Infection will be quantified using ELISA, Luminex bead assay, and PCR. The project is an offshoot of existing work done by PI Dr. Andrew Lover in the school of Public Health and department of Epidemiology looking into WTD as a covid reservoir.
