My tasks include, but are not limited to, coordinating and strategically planning across thematic work packages, working with all 20 project partners towards project progress each month, and developing a monitoring and quality assurance methodology for the project.

ASAP is the student association for the MSc program Sustainability Science and Policy (SSP) within Maastricht University's Graduate School of Sustainability Science (MUST). It is a volunteer committee comprised of masters students within the SSP program. My role of communication coordinator was shared with my colleague Zrinka. Together, we were responsible for communicating internally with members of our masters program & the rest of the ASAP committee, as well as externally to the public. We were responsible for running both the ASAP public Facebook page as well as the ASAP website, and established a stronger online presence for ASAP. Additionally, I coordinated with the Green Office of UM, which is the hub of student sustainability initiatives for the university. I worked to establish a connection between ASAP and the Green Office for the University's Sustainability Week, the Education and Research Symposium, and the Maastricht University Journal of Sustainability Studies.

I worked for Dr. Alexa Dare of the Communication Studies department at the University of Portland. I assisted in preliminary research on the Malheur Wildlife Refuge standoff by sorting through articles on LexisNexis for key terms and topics (the quantitative data component of the research). Currently, I am finishing with Dr. Dare a paper on meaningful work in the sharing economy, based off interviews, observations, and textual analysis of workplace reviews of a local branch of a national company.

I am the volunteer sustainability coordinator for my residence hall, Mehling Hall, at the University of Portland. I work with the other student sustainability coordinators on bringing sustainable events to my residence hall and to campus. Currently, we are in the middle of a composting pilot program that is taking place in my hall. We hope that the program will run smoothly so we can extend composting to all residence hall. We are also working to bring a paid sustainability coordinator position to our campus.
