Executed financial management of $625M division by 1) providing reporting, forecasting, strategic planning, close, cash flow and audit-related functions, 2) providing guidance, advice and risk mitigation to drive process improvement strategies enterprise-wide, 3) overseeing customer service, cost allocation planning, absorption variance reconciliation, and impact analysis to drive client and organizational profitability, and 4) providing guidance and expertise regarding the calculation (in Excel and SQL) of standardized costs by product line. Responsible for briefing executive staff regarding the impact of 1) operational changes, 2) customer modifications, and 3) post-acquisition financial integrations to ensure compliance and streamline processes. Started-up and managed financial oversight for $250M+ complex division by 1) developing requirements for pulling data from legacy systems and external data to create, update and modify reporting systems 2) creating comprehensive financial reporting service to allow in-depth analysis of performance and financial condition, and 3) generating standard operating procedures (SOPs) for automated financial system, staff services, and risk mitigation using JFMIP and FASAB guidelines. Also responsible for directing extensive performance analysis of trusts, agency, and vendors to ensure fiscal accountability and GAAP, PCAOB, GASB, FASAB, IIA, and COSO requirements were met. Accomplishments include, but are not limited to:•Savings of approximately $604K by creating and implementing financial reporting software.•Garnered agreement with internal stakeholders, external auditors and FASAB on the financial statement classification of short-term assets •Reduced reporting time from 6 months to 3 weeks by devising manual and automated procedures to enable program forecasting and baseline monitoring
