Oi is a group of Māori women, and good friends, who all grew up down dirt roads around Aotearoa – from the Hokianga Harbour to the Ruatoki Valley to Tokomaru Bay.After a while of testing the waters as independent contractors working toward social impact, we decided that “our powers combined” was a more effective, enriching and sustainable journey to undertake. That led to the formation of Oi, a Māori social innovation collective who activate, disrupt and grow new levels of awesomeness through the use of social and cultural innovation, design thinking and community development. The power of a collective allows our skill base to be spread across a range of specialities - from strategic planning, facilitation and research right through to community or iwi development. We work individually as well as collectively to support each other through the innovation process - to enliven ideas, innovations, explorations and creativity.

As Manager Voices of Whānau and Community, I am involved in a range of government agency initiatives and provide advice relating to interagency collaboration around the Te Aorerekura: the national strategy to Eliminate family violence as well as advice to Senior and Executive Leadership Team around The Child and Wellbeing strategy

As Team Leader for Pā Harakeke I manage the national approach and kaitiaki of the evidence based home visiting programme Family Start, Services in Schools (SWISS) and Strengthening Families programmes that are held by Oranga Tamariki providers. Support providers.

Secondment from Oranga Tamariki. This is a Ngāi Tahu-led collaborative established to increase Māori participation, success and progress in education and employment outcomes. Tokona te Raki focusses on unlocking the full potential of whānau and raise their position and influence in our economy through increasing skills, knowledge and income.
