The model employed features measured directly in the camera image.• Proposed an Image Based Visual Serving approach for motion control of UAVs in GPS denied environments.• Implemented the proposed controller on Pixhawk flight controller with Jetson TX1 as a companion computer using OpenCV, ROS, C++, MAVLink and PX4 autopilot. • Performed flight tests of the proposed control on ANCL quadrotor platform for different target configurations.• Performed SITL simulations on jMAVSim simulator for performance test (jMAVSim, Q-Ground Control).• Revisited the model of an Unmanned Aerial Manipulator i.e. a UAV with a manipulator arm.• Designed an adaptive controller for the UAV with arm considering parametric uncertainties and external disturbance.• Simulated the proposed control in a multi-body simulation environment with a range for different arm configurations. • Performed analysis of the existing literature on the slung load transportation and studies the distributed parameter model of a rope suspended load with a UAV. • Reviewed a number of scholarly publications for major conferences and journals in the field of robotics.
