I started my love for digital art and design when I was around 11 years old. After seeing beautiful digital paintings online, I begged my parents to get me a copy of Photoshop. From there I was obsessed with digital art and then tried my hand at designing my parent's company logo. This opened up a new door to graphic design. I absolutely loved creating logos, designing brochures, and flyers. I mostly did it for friends and family, but in my second year of high school, some local businesses saw all the work I was doing for my high school and they hired me as well. I was having a blast and decided to go to school for graphic design. After working for a jewelry company as a jewelry consultant, graphic designer, photographer, and social media manager, I decided to take a break and check off something on my bucket list. I had always desired to live in another country, learn a language and experience a culture vastly different from my own. I decided to get an English teaching job in South Korea. Although I still kept my interest in graphic design this is where expanded on my design experience. Making games for my students was a game changer. I found that my student learned more in a hands-on fun environment and doing it through computer programs and games was way more effective. However, I noticed a lack of fun interesting applications and games available to schools. I had so many game and app ideas so I started teaching myself to code. I felt that I had a lot of gaps when teaching myself, and I believed a good foundation in both frontend and backend of programming was needed so I enrolled in the Tech Academy. There I learned web and software design and became proficient in HTML, CSS, Javascript, bootstrap, .Net Framework, SQL, ADO.Net, And MVC, I also really focused on c# and have the desire to learn c++ and python in the future. I'll be graduating soon with a notebook full of ideas and an eagerness to expand even further in my knowledge of software and game development. I can't wait to get the chance to work with other creative people to build the next best software for education and gaming.
