Our world is broken. Can you feel it? All the suffering from fear, anxiety, anger, resentment, shame, blame and guilt has shown up as a global mental health epidemic. It doesn’t have to be this way. My vision is to inspire, empower, and teach the world to heal. I have a mission of transforming lives. By bridging the gap between medical professionals and holistic healing, we create inner-peace. The people I work with say that I inspire them and give them the courage to take the first step on their journey towards healing. My own personal experiences informed my journey. Out of the blue, in 2014, I experienced a severe manic episode and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I was heavily medicated and stuck in bed for over a month. I felt totally hopeless.While I sought care from a psychiatrist and therapist, I’m so grateful that I was also introduced to so many holistic healing options. I truly believe it was a combination of these modalities that helped me wean from my medications over time. I was able to heal my heart and awaken my soul. If you know anybody with mental health challenges, you know that they have a gift. And you know the greater the gift, the greater the challenge. I now refer to my manic month of May as my magical month of May, as it propelled me to heal and transform my life, my family’s lives, and all those around me. My goal is now to heal hearts and change minds as a: ◾ Nonprofit founder & CEO of Extraordinary Lives Foundation and our newest division, the HUGS for Life Healing Center◾ Mental health thought leader; member of Orange County Behavioral Health Advisory Board ◾ Podcast host of ‘Let’s Talk Wellness,’ a weekly interview series with medical professionals and holistic healers◾ Published author and creator of Piggie Bear, a character created to help kids increase their social emotional learning (SEL) and improve their mental health and wellbeing. Soon-to-be published author of ‘Unconditional,’ a book about parenting from the heart. ◾ Daughter to and mother of family members experiencing mental health challengesEVERYONE has the power to heal and transform their lives!
