As Managing Consultant with Right Management (part of ManpowerGroup), Marako heads the consulting practice. He is focused on partnering with clients to identify, design and deliver interventions, particularly in the space of Talent Assessment and Development, Leadership Development, Career Management, Organization Assessments and Performance Management.As the Asia Pacific Lead for Right Management's Leader Development, as well as the Coaching Practice, Marako is involved in creating and delivering solutions across the region.Some key initiatives include the research of Leading With Impact (LWI) Leadership Framework, designing of the LWI Modular Skill Development Series, customizing Talent Solutions for global roll-out for clients, and building of internal Coaching capabilities.

Heading the faculty of Leadership and Employee Development, Marako was tasked to develop and manage a suite of targeted programs for employees across the OCBC Group. As part of HR Business Partnering, Marako worked closely with business divisions regionally to help close organization development gaps. This includes employee engagement issues, leadership development, building of the talent pipeline and specific business issues. Key initiatives include design and development of assessment tools, creating Career Conversations Initiative across OCBC Group, development of ROI Training Effectiveness mechanism and implementing tiered Leadership Suite for developing future leaders.

As Practice Leader with Right Management (ManpowerGroup), Marako worked with clients on Talent Management, Leadership and Assessment initiatives.Marako was also the Regional Champion for Workforce Navigator™ and Leader Development. He specialized in assessment work, leadership interventions, coaching and career management. He designed and developed Right's signature leadership program, Leading Results through People, as well as a creativity toolkit called the "DektoKit".

As part of the Senior Management Team in YCH Group. Marako headed Human Resource and the Centre for Organization Development. The responsibility included both HRM and HRD interventions in creating an effective working environment/culture as well as to assess and develop human capital.Interventions include HR recruitment, policies, performance, retention and training. Also appointed Chief Learning Officer to develop the YCH Academy to drive the training and development of talents across the region. In particular, the growth countries such as India and China. This encompasses the setting up of the Y-Talent™ Program which looks at scholarships, talent initiatives, and internship as structured ways of developing future talent.

As part of the Leadership Team in SQ Centre, Marako drives the Product Design and Development Department. As a HR management consultant, Marako specializes in customized solutions by understanding organizational gaps, design relevant interventions and equipping through training and coaching.Marako enjoys writing and is a regular contributor to the SQ News. Publications include Marako's first book, “Yes! But… A Handbook For Workplace Creativity”. His Masters’ Thesis was on "Coached eLearning for Corporate Training" and action researched Doctorate paper on "Product Innovation: The Impact of Blended eLearning".

As a Senior Consultant, Marako had the experience of working across many different cultures spanning Asia, Americas and Europe. In his time as an instructional designer, Marako worked closely with the Business Development Team to secure business throughout the region. As a Team Leader, he worked with a team of instructional designers and technical developers in developing learning interventions for various multi-national clients.
