My thesis focuses on the users' perspective in Activity-based Flexible Offices, the role that design plays in meeting users' needs in flexible offices. I also address success factors in the adoption and adaptation processes of flexible offices on both individual and organisational levels.The user studies included in the thesis are comprised of a mix of ethnographical methods: interviews, shadowing, observations, and documentation analyses.
