"Coach" Taylor was given her title in 2002 by prisoners who agreed to meet with her and entertain the idea of leaving prison and returning to their communities as a solution, rather than return to criminal choices. Since that time, "Coach" Taylor has provided voiceless populations the opportunity to develop Tools they need in the vernacular best suited for their immediate application into daily life choices. Now, after nearly 20 years of collaborating to create a sustainable culture for the incarcerated, the "Culture of GOGI" is in prisoner-initiated expansion in prisons across 37 states. Coach Taylor's focus now includes providing access to these resiliency-building Tools to the Youth of America. Coach Taylor is an inspirational speaker to college students entering the law enforcement fields and is a welcomed guest speaker at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Hunter College, Pepperdine University, Cal State Universities, and others. She has been a clinical supervisor for criminal justice and law students from UCLA, USC and others. She has supervised dozens of candidates for drug treatment counselor certification and interns seeking real-world opportunities with the incarcerated. Coach Taylor has authored more than 30 GOGI curriculum in English and Spanish languages to address specific needs of the incarcerated. She is currently in development of PowerUp! Kids, a resiliency-building program to address stressors faced by quarantined youth. In addition to her philanthropic work and overseeing her real estate holdings, Coach Taylor is a short-term strategic coach for those seeking direct, no nonsense personal and relational strategies to augment professional acumen.
