As a fellow with Pfizer's Operational Excellence team, I was fortunate to collaborate with Quality Assurance Investigators and Environmental Health and Safety specialists. I was responsible for restructuring and revising an on-the-job training for Investigators by reducing redundancy and increasing ease of access to supplemental training materials. In addition, I created a couple job aids to supplement the training. These changes should result in a more straightforward training process and account for skill gaps between differentially experienced trainees. In collaboration with EHS, I observed warehouse packaging and distribution processes and interviewed colleagues to identify common and special cause issues that could result in health and safety incidents. We took a proactive approach to catch these issues before they become problematic and/or costly and helped the warehouse team prepare to make these assessments on a regular basis.
