Orthopedics Medical Scribe And Non-Certified Medical Assistant
Current- Provides excellent customer service to all external and internal customers (i.e. patients, families,referring providers, insurance companies and other TOC departments). Includes effective,friendly, professional and timely communication while anticipating and prioritizing customer'sneeds.- Accurately and thoroughly documents medical visits and procedures as they are being performedby the physician. Maintains excellent spelling, grammar and language skills, including knowledgeof specific shorthand and acronyms relating to the specialty.- Enters new patient intake information as necessary. Reviews patient history and notes prior topatient’s visit and completes all notes at conclusion of patient appointment to ensure medicalrecord is complete and accurate. Makes necessary changes to patient history and medicalrecords under the direction of the Physician.- May enter orders as directed and holds for provider signature.- Understands the operations within the medical department and assists with other duties within thedepartment as assigned.- Safety & Policy Compliance: Adheres to TOC safety and health best practices. Consistentlyfollows relevant laws & TOC policies, including Code of Conduct, Use of Personal Cell Phones,Attendance, IT Systems and Timekeeping policies. Maintains confidentiality, protects sensitiveinformation, and adheres to HIPAA, security and privacy rules.
