Key Achievements- Optimised plasma conditions for Oxazoline polymerisation via plasma deposition according to its film thickness, observing that ppOx film thickness increases with deposition power, flow rate and time, due to the fragmentation of the Oxazoline molecules. However, for higher flow rates at higher deposition powers, the deposited film begins etching, losing in consequence its thickness.- Obtained the stability of ppOx films in aqueous environment, concluding that the most stable films in aqueous environment are formed using the highest plasma ignition powers and the lowest precursor deposition flow rate for a prolonged time, due to the crosslinking reactions promoted by these conditions.- Characterised the functionality of the ppOx film surface polymerised at the optimised plasma conditions, finding that the retention of carboxylic groups is promoted at higher deposition powers.- Obtained stability characterization of different ratios of copolymers Oxazoline-Ethanol coatings using gold nanoparticles and analysing their surface through AFM, concluding that the most stable films are monomers and copolymers at low ratios for one monomer, Ox/Eth 10/90 and 90/10, presenting a swollen in its film thickness.
