I am an engineer with over 9 years’ experience in the water industry working for HydroCo Ltd, a Hampshire based SME that specialises in providing clean water network modelling support. My early years at HydroCo saw me working as a Field Engineer which involved such activities as deploying data logging equipment on water distribution systems, calibrating and maintaining data loggers and the use of GPS and traditional levelling techniques.After a couple of years I found myself getting more and more involved with the Hydraulic Modelling aspects of life within the HydroCo team. This saw my position evolve into Hydraulic Modeller, where I was involved in all aspects of network modelling, with a focus on Predictive Studies, Developer Enquiries and DG2 analysis. Recently my role has been defined as Senior Hydraulic Modeller where I take on many of the more challenging modelling projects and provide training to the newer members of our team.
