My current work focus is on project work in the context of international development in the fields of low carbon development, climate policy, carbon mitigation, renewable energy and sustainable development for countries, companies and organizations. This includes i.e. work on National Determined Contributions (NDC), Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) and other green growth and low carbon development projects. Further work focus includes providing training and capacity building for national stakeholders (public and private), designing and implementing Monitoring & Evaluation Systems (also MRV) for Governments, sectors or specific programmes. I have physical work experience in more than 35 countries across all continents and have worked on projects in over 60 countries. This helped me to gain vast experience dealing with intercultural and regional aspects when applying my know-how. I gained extensive experience working with carbon mitigation instrument (incl. NAMAs, CDM) and conducting training and capacity building projects for green growth, carbon mitigation instruments and renewable energy programmes. I have dealt with a range of clients including development banks (e.g. World Bank, African Development Bank, Asian Development Bank), development and multilateral organizations (incl. UNDP, UNEP, UNFCCC, IRENA, GGGI), governments and ministries, state owned companies and insititutions, multilateral organizations, and clients from the private sector. Further to my technical know-how and experience, I have in depth experience in team and project management, corporate management, project financing, marketing and human resource management.
