The attraction of new significant investments to Sullivan County has created sub-clusters in healthcare, food processing, metal fabrication, and a extraordinary rebirth of tourism in the Sullivan County Catskills.• Restructured the operations of SCPED to focus on seven key areas of growth and services; Corporate Attraction, Shovel Ready Site Development, Business Expansion, Cluster Analysis, Small Business Development, Marketing Main Street, and Membership Growth. • Increased membership in the Sullivan County Partnership by 57% over a two-year period. Through an aggressive effort of outreach to engage businesses and effectively communicate our economic development strategy, we garnered confidence and financial support from the general business community. Active membership was raised from 139 to 240 members, at the time one of the highest within a nine county region in spite of exhibiting the region’s second lowest population. • Created small business development program; managed project delivery focusing on program procurement, technical assistance and created a $1 million bank subordinate financing product called the Sullivan Investments Revolving Loan Fund.

DIRECTOR, COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT – Recruited to manage the development of three large commercial/industrial properties in Orange and Sullivan New York State counties. Administered the day-to-day permitting and approval process through the coordination and direction of a team of Lawyers, Engineers, Archeologists, Hydro Geologists, Landscape Design, Survey, and General Construction firms. Managed a team of professionals as well as the political savvy to foresee stumbling blocks and persuade elected officials to expeditiously move projects forward. Selected Achievements:• Advanced the permitting process from conceptual design through to approval for a targeted facility and worked through the New York State Environmental Quality Review process on two parcels totaling 188 acres with a potential of 1,400,000 square feet of pre-approved space. • Administered the completion of comprehensive expert studies and advanced technical reviews for a project consisting of 210 acres and 1,600,000 square feet of space.• Developed the public relations messaging to assist in advancing projects politically as well as the marketing strategy and related collateral to begin marketing the respective sites.
