I am a Dispensing Optician based in the South Wales area. Having over 20 years of experience within Optics and over 25 years in customer service, I have acquired a number of skills including communicative strategies as well as team building and team management. I currently work in Specsavers as the Accredited Courses Coach with a first-class honours in Dispensing Optometry and a prof cert in Low Vision. I have also achieved ILM level 2 and a gold standard for In Store Training within Specsavers. I am also an assessor for the Cert4 course ensuring their level of knowledge is demonstrated to meet educational standards and awarding bodies. I am currently developing my career with the ambition to expand on my knowledge in both a clinical and retail environment, with an emphasis on people development and coaching skills, and facilitation for online and face to face PAC events.I am also Cochair for prism; Specsavers LGBTQIA+ network, and the first diversity and inclusion community founded in the business. Our aim is to ensure our communications and policies are inclusive and colleagues can bring their authentic selves to the workplace.
