Trainee Design Engineer
Receive quotations and specifications based on customer needs and implement roll design in Roll Forming Machinery.Assist in the design and drawing of new ideas.Attempt to prevent any problems in the design stage by drawing several detailed assembley views.Produce detailed & assembly drawings and modifying & improving existing designs.Keep up to date with the latest engineering techniques and innovations.Produce project related CAD models using Solid Edge,SolidWorks & Cadra software.Working to deadlines and cost related targets.Attending team meetings.Liase with customers, suppliers and shopfloor.Interacting with the offshore and onshore engineers and drafters to complete assigned engineering projects.Maintaining high level of accuracy and design with efficient machining in mind Liaise with manufacturing on a regular basis.Major duties include building and designing of Roll Forming equipment.Consider how manufacturing processes could/can affect the manufacturing process as well as cost and time.
