• Provide leadership and guidance to the First Year Experience Coordinators and Program Delivery Coordinators who are responsible for the day-to-day support of students and staff across four College campuses.• Contribute to the optimization of student retention, progression and completion rates through monitoring student progress and enacting the student intervention policy.• Oversee the delivery of Orientation sessions for all new student cohorts.• Oversee the management of the College Laboratory ensuring maintenance ensuring all requirements are met within the prescribed budget parameters• Work with First Year Experience Coordinators to facilitate a supportive student learning environment by developing, implementing and modifying initiatives to support all students across all campuses.• Work with Program Delivery Coordinators to promote the use of innovative practices in classroom delivery through the development of workshops for full-time and sessional teaching staff.• Oversee, develop and modify academic policies in relation to the area of Academic Support. • Serve of College and University Committees as requested (i.e. The College Academic Committee, Western Sydney University Transition Working Party and Student Experience Committee, etc)• Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal networks including the College Registrar, Student Services, People and Culture and Marketing and Engagement.• Develop and maintain effective relationships with external networks with the community generally such as National Rugby League, the NSW Policing Association, and with colleagues at Western Sydney University specifically.• Oversee initiatives and manage performance of The College’s Indigenous Community Liaison Officer• Act as Director, Academic Pathways Program, as required.

• Responsible for the management of over a 100 academic and professional staff of CQUniversity’s Sydney campus• Plan and monitor student-centred learning approaches and teaching practices • Provide strategic leadership and operational management for the Learning Skills Unit including the design of support programs to encourage independent thinking and critical enquiry• Provide leadership and manage the Sydney campus Student Services unit• Work with Heads of Program to identify and plan course offerings for student cohort on a term by term basis • Work with Deans to review Program offerings on an annual basis or as required• Ensure compliance with the academic policies and procedures of CQUniversity• Participate in University committee and senior governance meetings as requested• Implement induction (where required) and professional development for all academic and faculty administration staff• Undertake annual performance reviews for all academic and professional staff• Undertake teaching evaluations to ensure excellence in delivery of teaching materials• Manage the allocation of academic staff timetable scheduling based on course offerings and viability• Contribute to campus budget in relation to teaching resource needs and academic and supporting staff requirements• Provide input to the University’s marketing and promotion strategies as required• Act as Campus Director when required
