Marc is a creative and practical mechanical engineer who has managed and designed mechanical systems of high performance buildings across the country. Marc’s focus is on integrated design, and balancing architectural and technological systems to work together to achieve sustainable and cost-effective buildings. With a deep belief that designers have a responsibility to create buildings that minimize resource use, Marc brings personal conviction to his projects to achieve results that lead the industry toward a net-zero energy future. Marc has engineered numerous projects that have broken ground in building performance. Among these are the Bullitt Center in Seattle, a six-story, net-zero-energy and -water facility that is certified as a Living Building. He also designed the energy systems for the Rocky Mountain Institute’s new Innovation Center in Basalt, CO, which is planned as a net energy exporter in one of the harshest cold climates in the United States. Marc holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Portland. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Oregon, Washington, Colorado, and Connecticut.
