About Marc Bucchieri
I have a passion for education, both through the outdoors and STEM skills. For the past several years I have been doing technical development work with White Mountain Science, Inc. to build STEM educational resources and programs in northern New Hampshire. I enjoy projects that engage a broad range of skills, from wireless communications and rapid prototyping to software and web development. Through this position I've had the opportunity to build educational tools (both physical and web-based) and professional development workshops for aspiring STEM teachers throughout New England.During the summer seasons I lead courses at the Northwest Outward Bound School. These courses have a focus in leadership skills and character development, with the goal of helping students from a variety of backgrounds become their best selves by overcoming challenges in the outdoors. I feel that it is vital for modern students to receive education about and through our wilderness areas as well as the ever-growing STEM fields.
