Primary R&D interests are: (1) the prevention and management of cognitive and cardio-vascular decline with ageing and disease; (2) the development and integration of point-of-care health devices and (3) implementation of community-based health and well-being programs at the interface of tecnology, aged care and chronic disease management. In the past 6 years, he has evolved a sustainable, scalable outreach telehealth service, Geri-Connect, and, more recently, an emerging Virtual Care platform including remote home monitoring. Geri-Connect currently services 58 Residential Aged Care facilities and 11 Health services across the Loddon-Mallee region of Victoria as well as those monitored in the community "at home". In the commercial space, he holds positions with NetHealth and Lenexa Medical as well as independent development relationships with Soul Machines and Latrobe University regarding an IoT home monitoring platform.
