Mr Buiting is active in the banking sector more than 33 years of which 28 years in ‘emerging markets’. His ‘bankability’ framework has been on the UN’s website for years and was adopted o.a. at Yale University. He lectured project finance at the University of Amsterdam, teaches advanced financial modelling (using his self-developed model '50 projects in 1 model' since 1995). He started a focus on renewables at ING (1995), at PwC globally (2000) and at the European Development Finance Institutions in 2003. In renewables, Mr Buiting works backwards from a future securitisation perspective. He holds degrees in both economics and business administration of Erasmus University (with Merit), Copenhagen Business School and attended o.a. Development Economics at LSE London and Strategic Management at MIT Boston.
