I love figuring out how systems operate and then seeing if I can make them work better. One of my earliest jobs was working for an industrial water purification company as a delivery driver. Each day, I would improve how quickly and efficiently I could swap out the water purification tanks and speed up my overall delivery times. When I transitioned to working in the company's regeneration plant (where the tanks are recharged with chemicals) I was not content until I knew every operation and how the plant functioned. I was constantly finding new ways to make procedures more efficient and soon the other employees were using my strategies. This need for constant improvement has fueled my gravitation toward leadership roles in many of the companies I've worked for.Some may see the number and diversity of jobs on my resume as a negative but I see a wealth of experience and interaction with different industries. I've spent days and nights inspecting high-pressure pipelines on off-shore oil platforms and X-rayed a decommissioned nuclear missile scheduled for destruction at Vandenburg Airforce Base as an NDT Technician. I've seen the publicly inaccessible areas of hospitals, science labs, and anodizing factories delivering industrial water purification tanks. I spent my days selling guns and sporting goods as a store manager in Flagstaff and my nights checking in a lot of interesting folks at a Motel 6, both full-time jobs. And I have seen the sun rise and set in every state in the contiguous United States as a truck driver. I know what it means to work. To put in long challenging hours to get the job done and then come back for more. And I am always striving to improve. Roughly two decades after graduating high school, I took on the challenge of going back to school to earn a bachelor's degree. I am proud to say that I have maintained a high GPA that has qualified me for inclusion in the Delta Mu Delta International Business Honor Society while still working, actively participating in my church, and spending quality time with my loving wife and children. I look forward to all the challenges this amazing life has to offer and have faith that I can overcome all things.
