Produced and co-wrote a full-length film for broadcast television, The Sagebrush Sea for PBS|Nature. Other conservation projects included documenting the effects of the BP oil spill on birds and the effects of the border wall on wildlife. Produced educational films and curricula for middle school, high school, and higher education classrooms. Produced complex online interactive content, and entertaining Youtube and Facebook videos.Developed story ideas, authored project summaries and grants, managed budgets, researched new technologies for field production, and served as the unit's internal science advisor.

Founding curator of the film and video collection in the Macaulay Library at the Lab of Ornithology, the lead for the development of digital archiving strategies for video and audio, and the supervisor for the creation of the online portal that has become MacaulayLibrary.org

Research focused on the acoustics of the display of the Greater Sage-Grouse, Centrocercus urophasianus. This involved the use of complex microphone arrays and high-speed video cameras. Also a teaching assistant for courses in animal behavior and animal communication.
