Accounting/Collections Production ManagerBASIC FUNCTIONThe I basic function of the Accounting/Collections Manager is to provide a general accounting role and accounting services to all departments. Act as guardian of the Companies cash and resources and maintain an aptitude and attitude of saving moneyREPORTING RELATIONSHIPSThe Accounting/Collections Manager reports to the VP of Finance, and is accountable to the VP of FinanceThere are no direct positions that report to the Accounting/Collections ManagerSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIESKnowledge and understanding ofAbility to work as a team memberDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAccounts Receivables:Post incoming payments from lockbox. PO Box and Field Collections provided by Field CollectionsConsistently make outgoing calls to collect Accounts Receivables within the terms of the clients’ contract.Submit any accounts over 90 days to the Collection Agency and provide the VP of Finance with a Report on a monthly basisAccounts PayablesReceive incoming invoices and post to accounting systemMonitor accounts payable and ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner so that late fees are not incurredChecks to vendors are to be created and presented to the VP of Finance for signature Tuesday to ThursdayChecks for any special requests (COD’s or Vendors) to be created and presented to the VP of Finance on an as needed basisReconcile and code credit card and fuel card statements within 2 days of receipt of statements and make timely payments of these cards.General Accounting and AdministrationPost numbers to scorecard and sales dashboard dailyClose accounting period no later than the 10th day of the following monthGenerate and review financial statements after month close and reconciliationsMatch and file payment advices (A/R) and payments stubs (A/P) on a bi-weekly basisMaintain customer and vendor information files
