I am searching for new sources of genetic and molecular resistance factors in legume species (pea, faba bean) to different aphid pests. Using a comparative approach that make use of specialised and generalist aphid, I investigate the commonalities and specificities of plant resistance and defence responses. I use a combination of 'omics' approaches as well as the rich genetic germplasm collection available within INRAE to discover new souces of resistance in order to increase the agricultural share of legume crops as a way towards more sustainable food production. As these species can be grown in lieu of imported soybean, it will also contribute to the fight against deforestation in South America and possibly increase European alimentation sovereinty.

Offer hands-on support and guidance on data analysis (genomics, metabolomics) and data management (data stewardship) to researchers. Make use of Machine Learning (scikit-learn, AutoML), statistics (GLM, Multivariate Analysis, etc. with R) and domain knowledge to select leads and validate results.
