For the past 11 years, Marc has pursued "Preventing the Impacts of Identity Fraud". Leading the effort of securing Aetna for HIPPA and PCI compliance in 2013, Marc was facing a major cyber-security issue: "who's name and password had been stolen?" An issue that is the cause of over 90% of all breaches because a preventative solution had not been discovered. It had plagued Marc for over 30 years since he developed the World Bank accounting systems and needed to secure them. That lead to a solution: replacing the prevailing "authentication of identities (credentials)" and "authorized access" approach with "approval of action continuance" that enable "Action Approval". When implemented, it can control the continuance of initialization of execution of any action, non-digital & digital, regardless of the initiator. The result is a patented solution in August 2019 with two additional patents and the creation of a cloud-based/smart-device based implementation of it called Sentry. He also formed Identity Checkpoint to provide cloud-based services using Sentry to both government and business. Marc has over 40 years of experience as an information systems architect. He has lead projects, taught, mentored and consulted during the past thirty years at the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM), US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), US Department of Labor (DOL), Dow Jones, Aetna, American Red Cross, CareFirst BCBS, John Deere, WellPoint, Fannie Mae, and GMAC Insurance. He has been instrumental in many of their transitions and adoption of advanced SDLC processes and technologies. He has taught and mentored IT teams in Model Driven Engineering with UML, Project Management, Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC) and development processes including Change and Configuration Management, Requirements Management, Analysis, Design, Implementation and Test Management.

FounderIdentity Checkpoint Sentry Services, Inc. Apr 2013 - Aug 2023Pasadena, Maryland, UsWith identity theft being an immense criminal industry targeting individuals from every demographic, having a service that gives you complete control, keeping your credit and assets protected and secure, is absolutely vital. Identity Checkpoint will provide comfort and peace of mind in a time where a moment of inattention can be devastating to a person's identity. Identity Checkpoint will be a global identity protection service that empowers you to grant real-time authorization before any changes can be made to your accounts or assets, rather than simply alerting you of changes after it's too late or providing coverage for your losses. As a result, I have been involved in the development of: a) a cross-platform Xamarin (UWP, iOS & Android) (desktop and phone) application, b) an Azure based SaaS/SAML system using MS SQL & Azure Push Notification services, c) an Azure IIS ADO.NET based web site for impromptu use of said management services -
