I'm an Industrial Engineer Electro-Mechanics/Electronics with a strong interest and experience in IT. After a 18 year career at Ford Motor Company I made the shift in 2010 to work for IMOB, the Transportation research Institute at the Research Park in Diepenbeek. I started at Ford as a production supervisor at the plant in Genk. Later on I moved to the Proving Ground in Lommel where I was a test engineer initially. I gained thorough experience in in-vehicle data acquisition and data post processing in Matlab. After that I moved on from Senior engineer Vehicle Dynamics testing to Senior Engineer Vehicle Dynamics development.At IMOB I started with app development in Android, web based geo-applications in JAVA (Google web Toolbox and PHP). I'm also responsible for IMOB's 2 driving simulators. Recently I've developed a transportable driving simulator which is now commercialized.In July 2018 I had the chance to become a principal Research Engineer at the METC center in Sint Truiden.In 2004 I also started a small business for Home automation, Ministry of Light. I develop hardware and software for building control based on the ICE standard DALI. (Digital addressable Lighting Interface) The skills acquired for this are electronics/PCB design, microcontrollers, VB.net, PHP and javascript programming. .
