Applied chemical engineering and computer science principles to develop an accurate training simulator for use within the Hanford waste treatment plant. Using information from P&IDs, V&IDs, PFDs, customer documentation, and plant data, I tuned the computer model. I developed new source code (Fortran77) for equipment not yet modeled by GSEs simulator.

Set up, maintained, and analyzed three molecular simulations run on the Stampede2 supercomputer to model chemicals interacting with a microbial cell. Responsibilities included monitoring progression of simulation, modifying/creating programs to conduct analysis, and organizing data into a presentable medium. The last 6-8 months of my role focused on.

Worked in the Makerbot Innovation Center for three months, learning the principles of 3D-printer operations and maintenance. Later, worked in Keystone Labs, managing a group of 4-5 employees to maintain the printers used in Keystone courses Met with students to advise in designing parts for additive manufacturing. Recieved training on a CNC-router.
