Launched a real money gaming B2B vertical by leveraging our large game library from our social native mobile library and converting them to web using emscripten.Oversaw the transition of my group into different P&L to better service new verticals.Unified teams synergy by replacing our flash product with our existing mobile application, again using emscripten. Consolidating these products essentially double our team capacity while also meeting flash deprecation deadline set by the different browsers and Adobe.Consolidated our 4 different branches of code for our products to a trunk based development practice. This saves us from herculean effort to merge the branches between different business units. Everyone working in the same trunk saves massive amount of time with bug fixing, feature adoptions and conversion efforts.

The bulk of my work is specialized in graphic programming. I transformed the framework from using SDL to using accelerate Opengl for all our drawing operations. This will allow for an easy growth path to full 3D. My current work is to look into 3D engines and incorporating the engine in our framework so that it's backward compatible with our current solution. I also created a Particle System along with an editing tool for doing special effects. The old system used generated graphic frame at the cost of texture memory, the new system cuts the cost of texture memory by as much as 97%.Some of the more outlandish tasks includes working on a "real 3d" game using a specialized 3D monitor. With this 3D monitor, you didn't need special glasses to see things in true 3D perspective. I've also been working on a gesture recognition software using specialized camera for future games. Before this I worked on the game framework for the next generation of VLTs. This C++ application was design to support two platforms (Windows and Linux). We are also developing a WYSIWYG tool, which allows the junior programmer to quickly create games. The goal is to create a framework in common for all the games and to cut down on the time required to create a game. 90% of the work I do at Spielo is R&D, most of it makes it into real product.
