Spending half a year digging into woodworking and furniture design!

At Sales and Marketing I work much with Architectural Support in the early phases of a project. Together with the client we develop the building envelop to create beautiful and buildable concepts. My function also, among other, include responsibility for fairs, social media and other marketing activities.

Working as a Project Leader on small and mid sized projects (1-6 mkr) at Skandinaviska Glassystem you get full responsibility for budget, planning and project management. A job with instant feedback and close contact with the whole organisation, from construction and purchase to mounting on site.

Up until the fall of 2014 I worked as Construction Engineer at SG. I started with modelling but after two larger projects I wanted to come closer to the practicalities of our firm. I therefor took a job as Project Engineer on our building site "Bestseller" in Aarhus, Denmark. At building site I got a great insight and understanding for how thing are done in "reality" which I definitively will bring with me in my future career. Parallel to the work in Denmark I also worked with concept presentations and visualizations for new projects in which my experience of rendering and graphical design came to good use.

At the moment self employed at mine and Magnus Anderssons design firm "Nock". Currently working closely with the artist Hanna Stahle, visualizing, form developing and constructing two of her public art installations, both planned to be manufactured and set up during sumer/fall 2012.

Our project started in the course ‘Reality Studio’ at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. During our 7 week stay in Kenya, the green mat of floating water hyacinths covering the surface of Lake Victoria made a strong impact on us all. We attempted to approach this problem by seeing the weed not only as a nuisance but also as a resource. With simple means on the rooftop of our guesthouse, we created a range of different products out of the water hyacinth.During our work, we not only discovered that the plant had a very good absorption quality, but we also found out that 870 000 schoolgirls miss 4 days of school every month, simply because they cannot afford sanitary protection during their menstruation. With this in mind, we decided to make use of the plant’s absorption ability and focus on developing a biodegradable pad to help these girls. For Blå Station me and David Lamm developed a foldable chair for public spaces as our masters thesis project. The aim of our project was to develop a production ready, collapsible chair.The chair was to fit Blå Stations brand essence and the market’s perceived image of the company.The chair was to fulfill all the found demands and requirements regarding ergonomics, branding, mechanical durability, safety, sustainability and economy.A thorough research of collapsibility principles, manufacturing techniques, Blå Station as a brand and the market was performed to gain a good understanding of the preconditions that the chair is to face.This was followed by an extensive ideation phase where numerous possible solutions and concepts were generated which resulted in a final concept called Applåd.

As the incidens of wireless internet connections has increased, the usage of laptops in public spaces have become more and more common. In these environments is the absence of electrical outlets often a problem. The idea for mine and Magnus Anderssons Bachelor thesis project was to supply electricity at such places by integrating an outlet in a light fixture. In close collaboration with Fagerhult professional we performed a complete product development process, from a thorough research of the user, market and Fagerhult to a fully functional prototype.
