I'm fascinated by the immunomodulation of helminths and their impact on co-infections, autoimmune and metabolic diseases. Furthermore, my group is working on the preclinical developing and testing of novel drug candidates for the elimination of filarial diseases in collaboration with partners from industry and non-profit organizations. I am excited by human parasitic diseases and head the Diagostic Parasitology at the University Hospital Bonn.
