Surgical PA at level two-trauma center of 366 bed hospital inside 7-hospital network of Nuvance Health. Primary responsibilities include working on the general, bariatric, and robotic surgical service lines. Responsible for all aspects of pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care in inpatient setting, surgical first assisting, surgical admissions, trauma responsibility in level one and two traumas, 24hr call in Surgical ICU, and active role in education of surgical residents as well as precepting PA students. Two-time recipient of the Scott Dareff Memorial award for excellence in clinical instruction 2018, 2019. Surgical First Assistant for bariatric surgery including sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, revisional bariatric surgery, anti reflux surgery including hiatal hernia repair, nissen fundoplication, linx procedures. Da Vinci robotic general and minimally invasive procedures including umbilical, incisional, epigastric hernia repair, femoral and inguinal hernia repair, cholecystectomy.
