Following an 11 year legal career, I am undertaking public relations and stakeholder engagement with politicians and key decision makers on behalf of the Jewish Leadership Council. The JLC are the strategic umbrella body whose membership is comprised of the 38 main Jewish communal organisations.Concurrently, I am also Chief Executive of the Jewish Representative Council of Greater Manchester & Region. The organisation was established in 1919 to represent the Jewish community in the region. In addition, I co-ordinate the Jewish Strategic Group which provides a forum for the Jewish community to collaborate and coordinate internally whilst engaging externally with elected representatives.The skills developed practicing as a Solicitor have proved invaluable. I am a skilled networker and communicator with knowledge on a broad range of policy issues. I have excellent attention to detail and strong drafting skills that have proved essential when working with and briefing Cabinet and Shadow Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, Chairs of All Party Parliamentary Groups, Metro Mayors, Council Leaders, Police and Crime Commissioners, Civil Servants and Special Advisors.I use my extensive list of contacts to represent the community on a number of key policy issues at the highest levels of local and national government. A primary focus will always be to introduce politicians with specified vested interests to relevant stakeholders, enabling them to discuss their agenda with individuals capable of influencing change.The JRC work closely with charities and individuals from our diverse Jewish community to promote their groundbreaking work and ensure organisations are in continual dialogue. In addition, we raise concerns, facilitate discussions and deliver tangible results on behalf of the community following proactive consultation with local and national government. The key policy asks for the community in Greater Manchester are highlighted in the bespoke manifesto drafted by the Jewish Representative Council and Jewish Leadership Council. We have also completed a detailed strengths and assets mapping report with input from across the whole community and local authorities. This project will provide the strategic vision for the Jewish community over the coming decade.

The organisation was established in 1919. My roles and responsibilities at the JRC are: -• The JRC is the first point of contact for all key internal and external stakeholders to discuss any issues of importance to the Jewish community. Worked closely with a Chair to establish and oversee a Management Board with individuals holding wide ranging portfolios on all areas of Jewish communal life. In addition, the JRC co-ordinate the Jewish Strategic Group which works to bring together the diverse community with representatives from local and national government.• Proactively engage at the highest levels of local and national government including with Ministers and Shadow Ministers on all matters that affect the Jewish Community. • Take a strategic approach to the Jewish community to promote engagement, discussions, co-operation and partnership between communal institutions, organisations and charities from across the diverse community. • Facilitate discussions and briefings with key individuals in the public, private and third sector to discuss how they can assist the Jewish Community, their institutions and stakeholders.• Contribute to statutory consultations of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority Councils and interact with any branches of Local and Central Government.• Provide wider society with knowledge and understanding of the Jewish Community.• Initiate, undertake and co-ordinate research into matters that may affect the Jewish Community.• Engage with other community groups, civic organisations and campaigns to advance areas of mutual interest.• Promote a positive image of Jewish life and foster understanding between different communities both within and outside the Jewish Community.

North West, North Wales & West Midlands External Affairs ManagerThe Jewish Leadership Council Jul 2016 - PresentManchester & London• The JLC are the strategic umbrella body who oversee the 38 main Jewish communal organisations. Role developed to facilitate political engagement on behalf of stakeholders with a focus on senior politicians and key decision makers. Meetings take place in Westminster or Parliamentary constituencies.• Established relationships with a large number of MPs including many holding Cabinet and Shadow Cabinet positions. Regular meetings also held with cross party backbench MPs. • Responsible for arranging, briefing and presenting at meetings with Secretaries of State and senior Ministers.• Discussions with Parliamentary Private Secretaries to senior Cabinet and Shadow Cabinet Ministers.• Regularly arrange meetings and roundtable discussions between MPs and stakeholders.
