Description- Create software tools for assisting scientists, engineers, and technicians for monitoring and collecting performance information from proprietary Energy Storage Systems.- Create Human Machine Interfaces for client control of company’s Energy Storage Systems.- Maintain and improve company’s internal server for controlling (via over-the-air commands) and monitoring a global fleet of deployed Energy Storage Systems.- Work with Database specialists to improve Database and Server Infrastructure.- Work with engineers and scientists to develop and improve application firmware for proprietary Zinc-Air Energy Cells.Accomplishments- Created a robust and user-intuitive Field Service application tool for concurrently monitoring and controlling several Energy Storage Systems, and with significant performance improvements (previous implementation was approx. 80% CPU utilization, new one was approx. 6%).- Identified several server performance bottlenecks and edge cases alongside Database Team and achieved a server throughput improvement of 10 times.- Identified several issues on server back-end application (e.g. Memory leak, fatal errors, abusive exception handling, etc.) and achieved a full 24/7 run time.- Automated server maintenance routines such as revision updates/rollbacks, and exception handling.- Refined and fully modularized in-house Ethernet device communication protocol, and created Wireshark plugin for diagnostic purposes.

- Work with engineers and technicians in the Automation Industry to develop Software Solutions for system-wide automation and management.- Work on-site at job locations, such as assembly-line warehouses, to assist and oversee project installations (on-site system analysis, programming, debugging).- Communicate directly with clients and project managers to provide technical support and receive feedback on current operations involving Vital Systems Inc. products and software solutions, as well as assist in proposal meetings with COOs or CTOs when necessary. - Create (or upgrade existing) Device Interfaces (API libraries) for Vital System Inc. PLC and Motion Control devices.- Upgrade device functionality on the firmware level in order to meet key requirements, specifications, and protocols for the Automation Industry (EtherCAT, ProfiNET, etc.) in addition to custom protocols and features developed in-house.- Occasional company website and database maintenance.

- Repaired connectivity issues with video games (primarily issues with network sockets).
