About Marc Lipsitch

Infectious disease epidemiologist interested in how our immune systems and our interventions (vaccines and antibiotics, especially) shape pathogen populations, and the consequences for human health: in short, the ecology, epidemiology, and evolution of infectious diseases. Particular interests in pathogen genomics, vaccine study design, research ethics, pandemic preparedness, antimicrobial resistance, and a few other things... Now on a secondment to the CDC to help set up the new Center for Forecasting and Outbreak Analytics.
