Computer Architect - Research Scientist working on highly-efficient architectures for next-generation processor designs. Work developed includes proposing break-through solutions on cutting-edge technologies such as HW/SW co-designed architectures, out-of-order engines for VLIW processors or hardware accelerators for brain-inspired computing; as well as other engineering tasks such setting up simulation infrastructures or designing vector and integer execution units.

Marc Lupon received both B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC, Barcelona, Spain) in 2008, obtaining the first rank award. He joined the Computer Architecture Department at the UPC in July 2007, where he is pursuing a PhD with the ARCO Research Group. He currently holds a Researcher position at the university supported by a UPC-Research grant, and teaches Introduction to Computers at the Barcelona School of Informatics. He has co-authored several papers that appeared in the proceedings of top computer architecture conferences, including MICRO, HPCA and PACT. He was visiting the University of Wisconsin-Madison during the Spring semester in 2010.
