It Engineer
My role was to ensure the smooth running of the Security Operations Centre. The SOC opened in February 2020 so I was there to assist in the setup of the IT infrastructure. As the main technical lead on site I assisted with adding clients to the monitoring system.Part of my role was the support of several key applications. It Desktop Support Analyst
My role was to help users within SSE with their IT related issues, providing support up to 3rd line. Field Service Engineer
Working as a contractor on various sites, mainly power stations, my duties were based around maintaining process computer networks to ensure the smooth running of equipment on plant. This included building computers/servers, installing and configuring software and also installing and configuring network equipment such as switches, routers and firewalls.
